Marrakesch, a faszinating city with a broad variety of sketching subjects. The world famous Jemaa El Fna, the colourful souks, the Madersa Ben Youssef, small alleys, old city gates, amazing gardens and the new town. Quickly teh sketchbook fills with life, colours and unvorgetable souveniers. Our goal is not to paint perfect pictures but rather to capture this pulsating, versatile city with simple material in our own personal manner. Not included in the price:
Transport to and from the riad (10 € to 20€ depending on the arrival time. Drivers are very reliable and will wait for you even when the plane should be late. You will also be taken directly to the riad by the driver).

Tipps

Workshop:
I will show different Sketching techniques during the week with different pens, pencils and watercolour. While you are sketching I help you along with perspektive problems, composition, colour, light and shadow, etc. Also we will experiment with collage.
No matter if beginner or advanced student, the joy of sketching should be the most important premise for a personal satisfaction and thereby the artistic success.

Registration
the number of participants is restricted to 12. With the registration an advance payment of 150 € is required. The exact roomprice is depending on the final participant number (see above). Before the trip you will get a detailed invoice.

Kristina Jurick

Originally trained in the hotel business, Kristina fell in love with watercolor when she was studiying with Bernice Tindal at the Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate in Toronto/ Canada . After 3 years she returned to Germany where she was employed with several hotels. But the love for art soon took over. After taking further workshops with Robert Wade, Tony Van Hasselt and Brian Ateyo she started to teach her own classes. Beside the wide range of private classes which Kristina is teaching in Germany, she is a tutor at several summer academys in Germany and leading watercolor workshops to Italy, France, USA and Marokko.

She had articles published with the „Palette & Zeichenstift“ Magazine and was futured in „100 ways to paint landscapes“ by International Artist. Also her paintings have been chosen for "The best of waterclor Splash 14/15/16" Her light filled paintings have been exhibited in Germany, Epypt, Ireland, USA and Marokko and are found in art collections in many other countries. In 2014 she was invited to Brasil for the 4th international watercolor Symposium in Paraty.

Now for the 4th year in Riad Sahara Nour, Kristina is passing on her watercolor and sketching experience to eager students of all levels.
With several demonstrations Kristina will show how to approach the chosen subject. Than she is helping the students along with their own work, so everyone can grow from what level they are at. Her competent and empathic teaching makes it easy and fun to learn from her.
